Rushing River Camp is located on the shores of a pristine white water river known as the Rushing River. This river originates a few miles upstream at Dogtooth Lake in Rushing River Provincial Park. The river empties into Blindfold Lake, a short distance downstream from Camp.

The camp is unique in that we have a sizable waterfall in camp and the roaring falls provide a restful, peaceful experience. We are also unique as we are one of the closest private resorts to Rushing River Provincial Park. We are within walking distance of the park on scenic trails. These trails are original Indian portage trails around the fast water of the Rushing River.

Fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Muskie, Crappie and Perch can be excellent at times. A boat tramway provides access to Lake of the Woods and endless fishing possibilities.

COTTAGES

General to all cottages: Cottages are fully modern with indoor bathroom facilities and showers. Kitchens have full stove with oven, microwave and refrigerators. All cooking utensils provided. Bedroom linens provided and all living rooms have sofa beds. Guests provide their own soap, bath and kitchen towels. All cottages have screened porches or sun room

All amounts per week in Canadian funds.

Additional guests up to maximum please add $15 per day, $75 per week.

Cottage 6 6 People $925

Our largest cottage surrounded by the Rushing River, closest to the falls. This cottage has 3 bedrooms (1 double bed, 4 single beds) and a water view from every window. Large dining room with picture windows overlooks the camp. Newer deluxe construction. Maximum occupancy 8 people.

Cottage 7 4 People $625

Original construction two bedroom cottage located on the Rushing River. Great porch overlooking the water with futon. Tidy kitchen and bath. Two single beds in one bedroom and double bed in remaining bedroom. Maximum occupancy 6 people.

Cottage 8 4 People $675

Two bedroom cottage with nice living area and side sun room. Original construction but nicely updated to modern standards. Great front room picture window view of the falls. Double bed in one bedroom and two single beds in second bedroom. Sitting deck behind cottage. Maximum occupancy 6 people.

Cottage 9 4 People $775

Very private two bedroom cottage with double size bed in master bedroom. Remaining bedroom has a double and single bed. Two large picture windows overlook the water. Cottage 9 is at the far end of Rushing River Camp and has a very quiet, idyllic setting. Newer deluxe construction. Maximum occupancy 7 people.

Directions:

From Fort Frances: proceed West on 11/71 until 71 turns North, shortly after Emo, Ontario. Proceed North on the Trans-Canada Highway, number 71, until you reach the Rushing River General Store. Turn around South on 71 for a very short distance until you reach the first road right. Proceed down this road, taking an immediate left, then right. Follow this road to the right turn to camp. Look for signs. If arriving from Winnipeg, follow directions above but proceed south on Hwy 71 and turn shortly after the Rushing River General Store. Approximately 3 hour drive from Fort Frances and 3 hours from Winnipeg.

WE ARE MOSTLY BOOKED FOR THE 2008 SUMMER SEASON; however there are three weeks open now (10/18/2007). Please email and we will let you know what we have available. Over 95% of our continuing reservations are returning guests.
